Data Entry & General Office Assistant

Family foundation in Silver Spring, Maryland, seeks an exceptional, detailed-oriented person with accurate data entry skills and basic analysis experience.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Employee will extensively use MS Word, Publisher, Excel/Access and skilled in creating graphs/charts. Become a member of an outstanding administrative team that collects and analyzes data to provide scholarships and learning programs to disadvantaged young people in the Washington , DC metro area and across the country.

We are looking for a person to also assist with general office duties including greeting visitors and answering the main phone line. This person must be passionate and able to work with all headquarters staff as well as the more than 100 teachers who help the foundation fulfill its mission to struggling students.

The ideal candidate must possess:

•  Effective organizational/time management skills, detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines;

•  Strong ability to multi-task and take direction from various staff members while prioritizing workload;

•  Outstanding oral communication and interpersonal skills to effectively represent the foundation in all dealings with the public;

•  A solid commitment to serving the clients;

•  A willingness to work well with diverse types of people;

•  The ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively;

•  A strong work ethic that gives 100% each day.
